So unfortunately I didn’t have the brilliant idea of starting a wedding planning blog until 3 months into our engagement which means a fair amount has already happened on the wedding planning front (what’s that you say, all I’ve done for the past 3 months is think about the wedding? Psh. No. Ok, maybe).
So far we’ve…
- picked a venue
- booked a photographer
- found my dress (eeeek!)
- rented a house for the wedding weekend for us/our parents/our wedding party
- ordered our save the dates
- done a whole lot of brainstorming about favors, decor, food, ect.
- started making our wedding website
And here are the big items left on the to-do list…
- find music (a dj + a string trio)
- book an officiant
- pick out cakes (yes, CAKES, plural. in this case, less is NOT more)
- figure out the menu
- pick a florist
- tons of DIY projects (more on this later!)
I think we’re pretty far along considering we have 11 months left until the big day, right?! Speaking of the amount of time we have left until the wedding, check out the countdown Paul created at zarzpao.com. He surprised me with it on our -1 year wedding anniversary (a.k.a. exactly one year before the big day)! He’s pretty darn cute, huh?
Alright, well that’s how things are coming along thus far. Stay tuned for some info about everything listed above.
